I spent two weeks volunteering with Volunteer Vietnam. This was one of the most extraordinary experiences I’ve had! This because the special contribution to the care for the most vulnarable en disadvantaged people of Da Nang. You will support the care for the adults and elderly in the Social Support Centre, who are disabled, homeless or don’t have a family to care for them anymore. There you will be organizing fun activities for them together with the staff of Volunteer Vietnam. You contribute to giving them a good day! I also learned from the local therapist how to support them in fysiotherapy and occupational therapy. One of the things I loved the most to get a moment with one of them and give them the support and attention they needed! You will also support in the care for children who are disabled or became orphans. One part of your job there will be giving them joy and attention, I loved it! Especially to get new insights and learning about the Vietnamese culture.
