I loved working with the team! From the minute i arrived i felt very welcomed, the staff of greenhouse are very friendly and great fun to be around! The stay was very comfortable and sanitary, truly felt at home , i was given 3 fantastic meals everyday. The experience of volunteering itself was a great , i was guided into it which was nice as i had not done any volunteering before, i got a whole range of places to volunteer in like schools and social support centers which was a great learning experience, and all went smoothly and was ...

I’m a retired Australian nurse who has been volunteering with Volunteer Vietnam for 5 years, usually on 4-week stays, sometimes multiple times a year. I’ve assisted with physiotherapy and occupational therapy for the elderly and disabled, and taught conversational English to children and adults. The staff are supportive, friendly, and help organize outings and activities. Accommodation is comfortable, meals are delicious and homey, and the whole experience is rewarding and enriching. I highly recommend volunteering with this organization.

Volunteers with VV participate in all of their programs – teaching English in kindergarten and primary schools, working with the elderly and disabled which includes rehabilitation therapy and playing with babies and children in orphanages. You do not choose one program, you work in all the programs during the week. Note that I am also the Canadian/American representative for Volunteer Vietnam. I help them develop their English teaching programs and English lesson plans and assist them in finding partners in Canada and the US.

The hosts made me feel so welcomed and included from day one! Everyone was kind and supportive. The work they do is truly admirable—you can see how much joy they bring to the people we serve. It was such a humbling experience, and I’ll be forever grateful.

This was such a wonderful experience. The team is lovely and takes good care of you as a volunteer. The work is not hard or difficult and it brought always a smile on my face. Everyday is a different day and that makes it really fun. Came as a stranger but left knowing that I have a second family and home :)
Little side note: with the volunteering you have to cover your knees and shoulders.

This was the best experience! The way they communicate is unreal and their English is good. They plan out every single volunteer session in depth so you’re never wondering what you’re doing that day. You volunteer once in the AM and once in the PM. Mr. Viet, the chef, and others that help me the us volunteers really do the most to make us feel at home! The only advice I have is to arrive a few days early because I promise even if you sleep on the plane, you will be soooo jet lagged and the first few days ...

This is probably one of the most organized and well-structured volunteer programs on WorldPackers! Everyone here is incredibly friendly and kind, they take the time to explain everything to me clearly. We participate in a variety of activities, such as playing games with the elderly, teaching English, and taking teenagers with disabilities for walks.
Each week is carefully planned, and our schedule runs from 7:30AM to 10:30AM and from 1:30PM to 4:00PM. We live in a modern, comfortable house with plenty of space to work, access to computers, and fast internet. I highly recommend this program!

My experience in volunteer Vietnam was nothing short of amazing, the women who help run everything are so much fun and make you feel at home instantly. Viet is an incredible director and inspiration. When you enter the home it’s clear that you’re entering a family and when you leave you know you’ve got a permanent home in Vietnam when you return. I couldn’t have asked for better amenities, accomodation & food cooked by the lovely chef!!! If I could stay forever I would. :)
