Dutch Student Volunteers at Volunteer Vietnam: A Meaningful Engagement

This week felt really special for all of us at Volunteer Vietnam.
We had the chance to welcome a group of Dutch students, and honestly, they brought such a fresh and lively energy from day one. It didn’t take long for them to settle in, they jumped straight into everything and made themselves part of the community.

From teaching English at the kindergarten and primary school, to helping with physiotherapy sessions, to spending time caring for the elderly, they were involved in it all. And what stood out the most was how genuine they were. They weren’t just doing tasks, they were connecting with people, sharing smiles, and really being present.
The kids were so happy to have them around. Classes felt more fun, more interactive, and full of laughter. And in the care centers, their kindness and patience truly meant a lot.
We’re really thankful they chose to spend their time with us. It’s never a small thing to travel far from home and give your time to others, and their effort has made a meaningful impact here.

At the same time, we hope this experience gave something back to them too, new perspectives, new memories, and maybe even a deeper understanding of the world around them.
To our Dutch volunteers, thank you for being here with us. You brought so much positivity, and you’ll always be warmly remembered as part of our Volunteer Vietnam family.
