Supporting Social Work
OVERVIEW
You will have the opportunity to stay in a volunteer house in Da Nang City, one of the most beautiful and attractive cities in Vietnam. Here, you will meet and make friends with fellow volunteers from all over the world while working together to improve the quality of life of around 200 vulnerable people at the support centers. The project includes childcare, elderly people or disabled people support.

THE PROGRAM DETAILS
No special skills are required to join this program. What matters most is your compassion and willingness to support abandoned children and homeless people, helping them overcome life's challenges and experience greater joy, dignity, and well-being.
Upon your arrival, we will provide a two-day orientation and training program. The training program is designed to help you understand the nature of the work and ensure a smooth and successful start to your volunteering experience. If you are studying or working professionally in the fields of social work, we would be delighted to have you share your knowledge, skills, and experience with the project. Your contribution will help us strengthen and further develop our social services for the community.
You will stay at our volunteer residence, known as the Green House. The Green House is like a hotel exclusively for volunteers, offering comfortable accommodation and all the essential amenities you need during your stay. Living at the Green House gives you the opportunity to make friends with volunteers from around the world and connect closely with our staff team.By joining this program, you will gain practical experience in social services for vulnerable people in Vietnam.
ACTIVITIES & SHIFT
Each week, you will work from Monday morning to Friday morning, giving you a long weekend from Friday afternoon onward to explore Da Nang City and the many attractions in the surrounding area.
Every day, you will work at the social support centers and assist with the following activities:
- Caring for orphaned and abandoned children
- Caring for homeless elderly people
- Caring for people with disabilities
- Organizing sports and recreational activities for elderly people and children
- Teaching English and helping children with personal hygiene
You will work as part of a team alongside other volunteers and our staff members. They will help you plan your daily tasks and work together with you throughout the program.
Each week, you will work for this program for around 20 hours. During the remainder of your volunteer placement, you will also have opportunities to contribute to healthcare and education projects for vulnerable people. These additional responsibilities will provide a diverse and equally rewarding experience, allowing you to broaden your perspective, develop new skills, and gain a deeper understanding of community development and social support. This combination of activities will enrich your overall volunteer journey and maximize the positive impact of your contribution.
PROGRAM FEE: USD 300 PER WEEK
We are a non-profit organization and do not receive funding from the government or other institutions to operate.We focus on humanitarian work in the fields of social work, healthcare, and education, supporting underprivileged communities such as orphanages, social protection centers, and poor schools.To carry out these activities, we rely on program fees from volunteers like you to fund our operations.Your program fee helps us cover the following expenses:
- Maintaining volunteer housing
- Providing meals for you
- Transportation to and from volunteer sites
- Salaries for staff who support you
- Organizing cultural and recreational activities
- Purchasing necessary materials for volunteer work
