Supporting social work for vulnerable people
You will have the opportunity to take part in caring for abandoned children, orphans, and the elderly who have no family support. You will help organize recreational activities to improve their physical and mental well-being. In addition, you will contribute to physical therapy and rehabilitation processes for people with disabilities. You don’t need any special skills to join this program.
THE PROGRAM DETAILS
We are implementing social care programs for about 100 vulnerable individuals, including orphans, abandoned children, elderly people without family support, and people with disabilities at social protection centers in Da Nang City. These individuals have suffered emotional trauma and are in need of love and compassion. Our programs aim to stabilize and improve their mental well-being.
Volunteers will support the care of abandoned infants, teach English and life skills to orphans, care for the elderly, and organize recreational activities for people with disabilities. Typical activities are:
- Baby care
- Helping with child development
- Teaching English and life skills to children
- Elderly care and playing games with old people
- Taking children and old people for outing trips
- Helping with physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and sensory
When you arrive, our staff and other volunteers will provide you with training on how to prepare and conduct the activities. If you have a background in social work, childcare, elderly care, or disability care, we highly encourage you to apply your knowledge and experience to our staff and to share them with us and other volunteers to further develop and improve the program.
