As part of our Lunar New Year community outreach, Volunteer Vietnam proudly carried out the project “Light Up Tet with Love”. This special initiative was all about sharing care and warmth with the residents at the Social Support Center during this important time of year.

With generous fundraising efforts from volunteers Ingrid and Joep from the Netherlands and their friends, the project provided new clothes to approximately 200 residents. This included orphans, disadvantaged children, people experiencing homelessness, and elderly individuals receiving care at the center.

It was a simple gift, but the impact was deeply meaningful. Seeing the smiles, joy, and gratitude on their faces reminded us how much small acts of kindness can matter, especially during Tet, a time that is all about family, connection, and hope. The project highlights the positive impact of international volunteers and the power of global community support. 

This initiative is part of Volunteer Vietnam’s ongoing mission to support vulnerable communities and improve quality of life through meaningful volunteer programs and social impact projects.
