Teaching English At Hoa Son Primary School
In October 2023, Volunteer Vietnam launched a meaningful project at Hoa Son Primary School, a small school located in a remote mountainous area of Da Nang. Due to a shortage of English teachers, students at the school had very limited access to quality English education.

The project was launched with an aim to enhance the quality of English classes for students in grades 4 and 5. Since its start, we’ve organized more than 200 classes, supported by over 100 international volunteers from around the world. Hence, students have opportunities to improve their speaking as well as listening skills through interactions with native speakers. 

Our Volunteer Vietnam team works closely with dedicated volunteers to create effective lesson plans that focus on interactive and student-centered learning. From fun games and storytelling to role-playing and group work, the classroom has become a vibrant place where students are excited to learn.
This ongoing effort is not only improving English education at Hoa Son Primary School but also creating unforgettable cultural exchanges between Vietnamese students and volunteers. Together, we’re building brighter futures.
